Richard Schenker is a recognized authority in customer engagement and loyalty strategy, with over 30 years of experience advising more than 60 of the world’s most iconic brands across diverse industries.
He has led the design, transformation, and management of world-class loyalty programs, strategic partnerships, and customer experience initiatives spanning grocery, pharmacy, retail (including specialty, department, and athletic apparel), fuel and convenience, quick-service restaurants, financial services, automotive, travel and hospitality, food and beverage, and technology and entertainment. His expertise is both deep and broad—covering proprietary, coalition, and partner-driven loyalty ecosystems—making his perspective uniquely comprehensive in the industry.
Before founding Loyal Strategy Consulting, Richard built his career on both the client and agency sides. He held senior leadership roles at Hudson’s Bay Company and Shoppers Drug Mart, where he served as the chief architect behind the iconic Optimum program for Shoppers Drug Mart—one of the most successful loyalty programs in North America. He later advanced into executive roles at LoyaltyOne (operator of the AIR MILES Reward Program) and Bond Brand Loyalty, where he helped global organizations unlock measurable growth through customer-centric loyalty strategies.
